Carlos Lopez Cubas
Carlos López Cubas began studying Physiotherapy in 1995, and in 1998 he graduated with the Extraordinary End of Degree Award from the University of Valencia. In 2012, he upgraded his training to Graduate by taking an additional course. Since then, she has focused her training on Manual Therapy.
At the same time, she designs and develops the Physiotherapy programmes for the Elderly and Disabled, and the Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy Service of the Alaquàs Town Council.
At the same time, he began his teaching role as a lecturer at the University of Valencia with the University Extension Service and the University Sports Service, devising and teaching the syllabus of Aquatic Therapeutic Activities and Exercises for the spinal column.
Currently, Carlos López Cubas' areas of interest are:
- At a teaching and research level, neurodynamics and chronic pain,
- On a clinical level, Manual Therapy, the biopsychosocial approach to Pain, and physiotherapy in music and performing arts.
Career path:
- In 2003 she began her studies in Osteopathy at the School of Osteopathy in Madrid, and later studied Neurodynamics in London.
- He completed his training in contemporary Manual Therapy studying the concepts of McConnell, Mulligan, motor control,... as well as training in the treatment of patients with chronic pain.
- In 2004 he opened the OSTEON Alaquàs Physiotherapy Centre, of which he is still the titular physiotherapist and manager.
- He expanded his teaching work in Manual Therapy and Neurodynamics, as a teacher in different training courses within university postgraduate masters and private courses.
- - In 2009, as a founding member, he promoted the Spanish Society of Physiotherapy and Pain.
- In 2010, he started working at the Faculty of Physiotherapy of the University of Valencia as Associate Professor.
- In 2011 he published the book Cuentos Analgésicos: Herramientas para una saludable percepción del dolor.
- In 2012 he participated in the birth of FisioterapiaSinRed.
- Since 2012, he has promoted his research activity directing the scientific journal Fisioterapia y Divulgación, and publishing articles in high impact journals.
- During these years, he continued his training in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders, biomercanics of the runner and therapeutic exercise.
- In 2015, he started working at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University as an Associate Professor.
- In 2016 he published the book Neurodinámica en la Práctica Clínica.
- In 2017, he studied the Official Master's Degree in Functional Recovery in Physiotherapy at the University of Valencia.
- He continues to participate as a speaker on neuropathy and neurodynamics, as well as a member of the scientific committee and organiser of different international physiotherapy congresses.
- In 2018 he promotes, as organiser and teacher, the training in Movement Diagnosis and Therapeutic Exercise.
- In 2019 he published his third book, Sciatica: Overcome it step by step.
- In 2020, he studied the Master's Degree in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Physiotherapy at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University.
- He published the book "Pattern Recognition of Clinical Syndromes Related to Neuromusculoskeletal Pain Disorders" together with Quique Lluch
